Job summary

FutureCare oversees an RN Shift Supervisory role, leading a dedicated nursing team to advance resident care standards across our communities. The position emphasizes supervising staff, directing care, and ensuring quality nursing operations on a shift basis.

The role requires an active Maryland RN license, a preferred Bachelor’s in Nursing, and some managerial experience; CPR license is also preferred. FutureCare offers competitive pay and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse license required in Maryland.
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing strongly preferred.
• 1–3 years of managerial experience and leadership skills a plus.
• Experience caring for residents in geriatric/acute settings.

Responsibilities

• Supervise all nursing personnel and nursing functions on a shift.
• Assess staffing and resident needs and direct care.
• Work with adult geriatric population to ensure quality care.
• Serve as role model for safe, effective nursing care and supervise clinical aspects.
• Manage day-to-day operations of the Nursing Department.

Responsibilities

• Primary responsibilities include supervision of all nursing personnel and nursing related functions on a specific shift
• Duties involve assessing staffing and resident needs and directing care
• Works predominately with an adult geriatric population
• Serves as role model for staff through provision of safe, effective and efficient nursing care. Supervises clinical aspects of nursing.
• Manages day to day operations of Nursing Department
• Interfaces with others to insure efficient unit operations.
• Seeks opportunities for own growth and expansion of responsibilities to maintain clinical competency

Qualifications

• Must hold an active Registered Nurse license issued in the state of Maryland
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from an accredited college or university strongly preferred
• 1- 3 years of managerial experience and proven leadership skills a plus
• Previous experience caring for residents in an acute or skilled nursing facility
• Must possess a current CPR license
