Job summary

FutureCare is seeking an RN Shift Supervisor to lead a dedicated nursing team and uphold excellence for our resident communities in Maryland.

You will supervise nursing staff, assess resident needs, and manage daily Nursing Department operations, focusing on safe, effective care for an adult geriatric population.

Qualifications

• Active Maryland RN license required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing strongly preferred.
• 1–3 years of managerial experience and proven leadership skills a plus.
• Must possess a current CPR license.

Responsibilities

• Supervise all nursing personnel and nursing-related functions on a specific shift.
• Assess staffing and resident needs and direct care accordingly.
• Work predominantly with an adult geriatric population.
• Serve as role model for staff through safe, effective and efficient nursing care; supervise clinical aspects.
• Manage day-to-day operations of the Nursing Department.
• Collaborate with others to ensure efficient unit operations.

• Interfaces with others to insure efficient unit operations.


• Seeks opportunities for own growth and expansion of responsibilities to maintain clinical competency

Qualifications

• Must hold an active Registered Nurse license issued in the state of Maryland


• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from an accredited college or university strongly preferred


• 1- 3 years of managerial experience and proven leadership skills a plus


• Previous experience caring for residents in an acute or skilled nursing facility


• Must possess a current CPR license
