Job summary

Doctors Medical Center of Modesto is seeking a Shift Manager within the Cardiology department to lead nursing staff during the day shift. The role uses the nursing process and leadership skills to coordinate patient care and ensure safety and quality on the unit.

The ideal candidate will have a California RN license, BLS/ACLS, 3–5 years acute care experience, and strong managerial communication skills. BSN preferred. This position offers competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits.

Holiday Rotation:

Department: Cardiology

Reporting to the Cardiology Manager, the Shift Manager utilizes the nursing process and organizational/leadership skills to coordinate services of staff to patients during the designated shift. Assures patient care is appropriate to the age and developmental level of patients served. Assesses staff need for the unit, collaborates with the staffing coordinator, Nurse Director, and Administrative Nursing Supervisor to ensure patients needs are met.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Education: BSN preferred

Minimum Experience/Skills: Three to five years acute care experience or equivalent. Managerial Communication preferred

License/Certificates/Credentials: Current: California RN license, BLS certification, ACLS certification, CCRN/RCIS preferred. #LI-ML2
