Job summary

The Greens at Hickory is seeking an RN Second Shift Supervisor to join our leadership team in Hickory, NC. This role leads the evening nursing team, ensures high-quality resident care, and supports regulatory compliance.

You will oversee RNs, LPNs, and CNAs, oversee clinical documentation, and promote a resident-centered culture on the second shift. This is a full-time evening role with meaningful impact on residents and staff.

Qualifications

• Current, active North Carolina RN license (or compact state) is required.
• Minimum of 2 years nursing experience, preferably in long-term care or skilled nursing.
• Previous supervisory or leadership experience is strongly preferred.
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, and clinical decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and oversight for nursing operations during second shift.
• Supervise, mentor, and support RNs, LPNs, and CNAs.
• Ensure residents receive high-quality, compassionate care.
• Monitor resident conditions and respond to clinical concerns.
• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and facility regulations.
• Conduct shift reports and facilitate communication between departments and shifts.
• Assist with staff coaching, development, and performance improvement initiatives.
• Review and maintain accurate clinical documentation.
• Investigate and report incidents, resident concerns, and changes in condition.
• Promote teamwork, accountability, and a resident-centered culture.

Position Summary

• Minimum of two (2) years of nursing experience, preferably in Long-Term Care or Skilled Nursing

• Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational abilities

• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced healthcare environment
