Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Medical Center – Temple is seeking a Full-time Seasonal RN for Labor and Delivery on a 13-week contract. Work alongside a skilled team in a fast-paced obstetric unit with 12 L&D rooms and several antepartum/OR spaces, Day shifts available.

The RN will assess patients, develop and adjust care plans, and provide safe, compassionate care while navigating the healthcare system. A completion bonus is offered and benefits apply; 36 hours weekly schedule is included.

Qualifications

• A degree from a recognized nursing program.
• 1 Year -Current Labor and Delivery RN experienc required
• A valid Registered Nurse license
• The ability to obtain a Basic Life Support certification within the first 30 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Using good judgment and clinical reasoning, conduct thorough assessments following practice standards.
• Identify patient and family needs, then develop, implement, and evaluate nursing care plans accordingly. Make adjustments as needed.
• Creating safe, therapeutic environments for patients, families, and staff.
• Managing emotional and physical pain to promote recovery and prevent unnecessary suffering.
