Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Temple- Memorial Hospital is a Level One trauma center and 636-bed teaching facility. Seasonal RN positions in Labor & Delivery offer 13-week contracts with 36 hours per week across day and night shifts in a fast-paced, high-acuity department.

Applicants should hold an RN from a recognized program, with at least 1 year in Labor & Delivery, and a current RN license. Completion of Basic Life Support within 30 days of hire is required.

Qualifications

• A degree from a recognized nursing RN program.
• Minimum of one year's experience in Labor and Delivery.
• A valid Registered Nurse license.
• Ability to obtain a Basic Life Support certification within the first 30 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Using good judgment and clinical reasoning, conduct thorough assessments following practice standards.
• Identify patient and family needs, then develop, implement, and evaluate nursing care plans accordingly. Make adjustments as needed.
• Creating safe, therapeutic environments for patients, families, and staff.
• Managing emotional and physical pain to promote recovery and prevent unnecessary suffering.
