Qualifications

• Associate degree in nursing required.
• BSN preferred.
• Current Iowa RN license.
• Operating Room experience preferred.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
• Mandatory Reporter training within 3 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Administers nursing care to patients per physician orders and patient plan.
• Delivers care using Nurse Practice Act and MercyOne policies.
• Communicates effectively with staff, physicians, patients and families.
• Participates in ongoing clinical education and professional development.
• Maintains accurate patient records and documentation.
• Operates and maintains equipment safely and efficiently.
• Responds to emergencies and initiates CPR when needed.
• Works rotating shifts, weekends and holidays as scheduled.
