Hutchinson Regional Medical Center is seeking a Forensic Nurse Examiner (FNE) to provide timely, trauma-informed care to victims and perpetrators of violence in a compassionate, non-judgmental manner. This PRN/part-time position supports high-quality, evidence-based care and documentation.

Minimum qualifications include an accredited RN program, Kansas Board of Nursing or compact-state license, BLS/CPR, ACLS and PALS within six months, and a minimum of one year of acute care experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN program.
• Completion of a 64-hour IAFN SANE course or two 40-hour SANE training courses within six months of hire.
• Minimum of one year of acute care experience.

Responsabilités

• Provide timely, non-judgmental, trauma-informed care to victims and perpetrators of violence.
• Maintain documentation with accuracy and adherence to policy; preserve chain of evidence.
• Meet scheduling requirements, including nights, weekends, holidays, and call.
• Educate patients and families on examination, treatment, and care.
• Coordinate and prepare testimony and case facts as needed.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and professional relationships with teams and external parties.
