Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center in Johnstown, PA is seeking a Risk/Quality Specialist (RN) to join Risk Management. This hospital-based role focuses on patient safety and quality outcomes beyond the bedside, with no weekend shifts and standard daytime hours.

You'll lead education, run safety reports (SIM), investigate incidents, participate in Joint Commission activities, and collaborate on policy updates.

Qualifications

• PA state or multistate RN license is required.
• Bachelor's degree (BSN) within 3 years is preferred.
• Five years of full-time acute care nursing experience required.
• Proficient Excel skills; coursework in statistics preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide resources and expert knowledge in Clinical Risk Management and Patient Safety.
• Develop and deliver educational sessions on risk management, patient safety, Joint Commission, and related topics.
• Enter and run reports for electronic event systems (e.g., SIM, Patient Safety Authority).
• Support SIM processes in the absence of analysts.
• Investigate incidents and facilitate root-cause analyses as needed.
• Participate in claim investigations and support discovery with legal teams.
• Join survey teams for Joint Commission and Department of Health.
• Collaborate on updating Organizational Policy Manual and new risk-related policies.
