• Gather data through history and physicals; plan and implement care interventions.
• Develop, evaluate and revise patient care plans as needs change.
• Document care and patient progress toward outcomes.
• Direct and supervise others in delegated nursing activities.
• Educate patients and families about the plan of care.
• Prepare patients to manage care after discharge or procedures.
• Lead the health care team and manage time/resources for care.
• Administer medications and provide direct patient care.
