Job summary

Methodist Hospital Stone Oak seeks a Resource RN for a float pool across Med Surg, Tele, Ed Holds and other units. The role supports optimal patient care by adapting to unit needs and planning comprehensive care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited diploma, associate's, or baccalaureate degree registered nursing program.
• Current Registered Nurse License in Texas or Multi‑State Compact; Texas RN license within 60 days if on Compact.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments and education needs.
• Develop individualized plans of care with goals and outcomes.
• Prioritize and implement efficient nursing care plans.
• Continuously evaluate patient status and adjust care as needed.
• Utilize hand-off and SBAR for effective team communication.
