Job summary

CommonSpirit Health invites newly licensed RNs to join the Nurse Residency Program in East Texas, with a February 15, 2027 start. The program supports transition from student to practicing RN through a competency-based curriculum, preceptors, mentors, and structured orientation.

Relocation assistance is provided for eligible hires, and residents gain hands-on experience across St. Luke's Memorial facilities in Lufkin and Livingston, under ANCC-accredited guidance.

Qualifications

• GPA of 3.0 or higher and less than 12 months of professional nursing experience.
• Minimum nursing degree: ADN (required) or BSN (preferred).
• Must have passed the NCLEX before the start date with an unencumbered Texas RN license.
• Basic Life Support certification (American Heart Association) is required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver excellence in patient care through assessing, formulating diagnoses, planning and evaluating outcomes.
• Contribute to evidence-based nursing practice within the residency program framework.
• Engage with mentors and preceptors to develop critical thinking and leadership skills.
