Job summary

UnityPoint Health Des Moines is seeking a Nurse Resident for Inpatient Older Adult Behavioral Health at Lutheran Campus. You will integrate into an interdisciplinary team, deliver nursing care, and support recovery for older adults experiencing mental health crises.

Newly licensed RNs or those with under 12 months of acute RN experience are encouraged to apply. The program includes RN Residency requirements, a full-time night shift, and a $10,000 sign-on bonus paid over two years.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of accredited nursing program.
• License: Current licensure in good standing to practice as a Registered Nurse in Iowa.
• Experience: Newly licensed nurse or less than 12 months acute RN experience.
• Other: Completion of residency program within the first 12 months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Functions as a Registered Nurse and provides nursing care for patients and families.
• Maintains a practice environment reflecting the ANA Code for Nurses and UnityPoint Health nursing model.
