Parkridge Medical Center in Chattanooga, TN, is offering an RN Nurse Residency Program designed to bridge the gap from student to registered nurse with hands-on practice and dedicated nurse educators. The program includes a series of learning experiences, preceptorship, and evidence-based projects to support a seamless transition.
Specialties available include Med/Surg, Stepdown, Emergency Services, Critical Care and Women’s.
Qualifications
- BLS and ACLS certifications required.
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.
- Registered Nurse license or eligible Graduate Nurse in the state.
- No prior nursing experience required; training provided.
- Some travel may be needed for training.
Responsibilities
- Assess patient condition during admission and during each shift; report changes.
- Perform procedures, monitoring or other tasks as ordered; document care promptly.
- Administer prescribed medications; monitor response and notify provider if needed.
- Provide exceptional care by responding promptly to patient requests and anticipating needs.
- Teach patients and families about condition, plan, medications and follow-up.
