Job summary

Parkridge Medical Center in Chattanooga is launching a year-long HCA Nurse Residency Program to support new graduates transitioning to registered nurses. The RN Resident will gain hands-on experience with education, mentorship, and skill-building across multiple units, including Med/Surg, Stepdown, Emergency, Critical Care and Women’s services.

Qualifications

• BLS within 30 days of employment.
• ACLS within 1 year of employment.
• Other Certifications may be required during employment.
• RN license or graduate nurse in the state.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient condition during admission and during each shift.
• Perform procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by the provider; document care in medical record.
• Administer prescribed medications; monitor response; notify provider if issues arise.
• Provide exceptional care; respond promptly to patient requests; anticipate needs.
• Teach patients and families about condition, plan, medications, and follow-up.
