HCA Florida Oak Hill Hospital offers a Nurse Residency Program for December 2026 Galen College of Nursing graduates. This year-long paid program supports new graduates transitioning from student nurse to registered nurse with hands-on experience and mentorship.

Residents gain advanced clinical training, monthly education sessions, and preceptorships, guided by nurse leaders and an evidence-based project team, in a supportive hospital environment.

Qualifications

• BLS within 30 days of employment.
• ACLS within 1 year of employment.
• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.
• Registered Nurse License or Graduate Nurse in the State.
• No previous experience needed.
• Some travel may be needed for training.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient condition during admission and during each shift as scheduled.
• Perform procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by the medical provider(s). Document care in patient records.
• Administer prescribed medications; monitor response and notify provider if needed.
• Provide exceptional care by responding promptly to patient requests.
• Teach patients and families about condition, status, treatment, medications and follow-up.
