Job summary

The HCA Nurse Residency Program at HCA Florida Oak Hill Hospital in Brooksville, FL provides new graduates with a structured, year-long transition to registered nursing through hands-on practice, mentorship, and evidence-based learning experiences.

You will receive advanced clinical training, monthly education sessions, and preceptorship support while delivering patient-centered care and coordinating with the care team to ensure a safe, compassionate patient experience.

Qualifications

• BLS certification obtained within 30 days of employment.
• ACLS certification obtained within 1 year of employment.
• Graduate Nurse status or RN license eligibility in the state.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient condition during admission and each shift, reporting changes.
• Perform procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by the provider; document care.
• Administer prescribed medications; monitor therapeutic response and report issues.
• Respond promptly to patient requests and proactively address needs.
• Educate patients and families about condition, plan, medications, and follow-up.
