Piedmont Henry Hospital offers a 12-month Nurse Residency program designed to transition new graduate nurses from student to professional through education, mentorship, and peer support.

The program combines precepted orientation with blended learning experiences across Acute Care, Critical Care, Emergency Department, Women’s Services, and more, fostering clinical judgment and strong communication in a collaborative culture.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a nursing program.
• New Graduates eligible.
• Current License in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• BLS certification required.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Advanced certification in field of specialty, if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients across the lifespan using the nursing process (assess, plan, implement, evaluate).
• Coordinate patient care activities with assigned staff and team members.
• Maintain standards of practice and demonstrate professional growth and accountability.
• Demonstrate leadership skills and effective communication; adapt to stressful environments.
