Piedmont Atlanta Hospital offers a 12-month Nurse Residency program designed to transition students to professional nurses through education, mentorship, and peer support. RN residents will develop clinical judgment, communication skills, and a commitment to quality and safety in acute care settings across multiple units.

Qualifications

• Leadership, communication, initiative and judgment are required.
• Graduate of a nursing program.
• Current Georgia RN license is required for practice (BLS CPR also required).
• BSN preferred but not required for eligibility.
• New graduates eligible for the Nurse Residency program.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care from birth through lifecycle using nursing processes to assess, plan, implement and evaluate care.
• Coordinate patient care activities among assigned staff to ensure quality care.
• Maintain standards of practice and accountability within organizational policies.
• Demonstrate professional growth, leadership and collaboration with the care team.
