Job summary

Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset, Kentucky is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our CVU team on a full-time basis. This role includes a $15,000 sign-on bonus with a two-year commitment, rotating weekends, and self-scheduling within shifts from 6:30 to 7:00.

As part of Lifepoint Health, you will provide direct patient care, document care provided, and collaborate with the care team to coordinate transfers, discharges, and supportive services.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in nursing is required; bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred.
• Current RN license in Kentucky or active multistate license.
• If relocating, licensure must be updated to the new PSOR before employment begins.

Responsibilities

• Performs plan of care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and other medical care activities.
• Documents patient care provided.
• Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition to the care team, physician, patient, and family.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
• Collaborates across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including transfers, discharges, referrals, and psychosocial/spiritual support needs.
• Advocates for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.
• Participate in performance improvement and continuing education.
• Provides quality patient care and works flexible shifts or units as needed.

• Associate's degree in nursing required; bachelor's degree in nursing preferred. Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Current RN license in state of Kentucky or a current active multistate license
