BayCare Health System is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the Neuro PCU at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Tampa, FL. The Neuro PCU handles neuro medical and neuro surgical patients, including stroke care.

You will provide care using the nursing process, support a shared governance team, and participate in precepting and charging duties as needed. 6 months RN experience required; BLS and RN license required; ACLS preferred.

The RN Responsibilities Include

• Independently caring for a group of patients consistently using the nursing process and clinical standards.
• Delegating appropriate patient care activities to other members of the health care team.
• Professional accountability and development.
• Performing the role of preceptor and charge nurse when assigned.

Qualifications

Certifications and Licensures:

• BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification is required
• RN (Registered Nurse) license is required
• ACLS Certification, if required by department
• Nurse Specialty certification is preferred

Education

• Associates degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma is required
• Bachelors degree in Nursing is preferred

Experience

• 6 months of RN experience is required.
