Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, MD is seeking a nurse for the Medical Progressive Care Unit (MPCU). This 21-bed unit cares for critically ill adults and offers rotating 12-hour shifts with six weeks of self scheduling and a 36-hour work week in a part-time role.
Required ADN and active Maryland (or Compact) RN license, plus BLS CPR; BSN is preferred and ADN holders are encouraged to pursue a BSN.
Weekly Working Hours: 36-hours/week full-time

Medical Progressive Care Unit at The Johns Hopkins Hospital is a 21-bed high acuity step-down unit, caring for critically ill adult medical patients. Patient population includes those with complex organ disease, requiring mechanical ventilation, vasoactive drips, and continuous monitoring. Common medical diagnoses include sepsis, respiratory failure, GI bleed, liver failure, and DKA. This is a highly skilled floor, from which new staff will gain instrumental experience. Nurse to patient ratios are 2:1 or 3:1 depending on acuity. There is opportunity for growth on the MPCU, regardless of where you are in your career!
