UAB Medicine in Birmingham, AL is seeking an ICU Nurse for the Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU/1South). The role focuses on direct patient care, coordination of multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring careful discharge planning. Our 1South ICU, which is also a Medical ICU, has 18 beds. We pride ourselves on team cohesiveness. All of the patient care supervisors are readily available M-F and leadership of all levels has a great presence daily. We are always accepting new graduates, everyone enjoys teaching, and no one is left to do things alone.
