Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved school of nursing.
• Meets all mandatory, developmental, and performance competency requirements for Baptist Health and unit/department.
• Maintains current State of Alabama RN license.

• Patient-Centered Care & Advocacy: assess needs, develop care plans, monitor progress, and advocate for patients and families.
• Age-Appropriate Competency: provide age-specific care, apply growth and development principles, and use unit-specific procedures.
• Team Leadership & Collaboration: serve as preceptor, charge nurse, educator, or clinician; coordinate care with interdisciplinary teams.

• Patient-Centered Care & Advocacy: Assesses patient needs, develops and revises individualized care plans, monitors progress, prioritizes care, and serves as a patient and family advocate.
• Age-Appropriate Competency: Demonstrates knowledge and skills for age-specific care, including growth and development principles, unit-specific procedures, and equipment use.
• Team Leadership & Collaboration: Functions as preceptor, charge nurse, unit educator, or clinician; coordinates care, delegates appropriately, and communicates with interdisciplinary teams.
• Professional Role Modeling: Supports hospital and nursing goals, practices compassionate care, maintains legal and ethical standards, and fosters respectful relationships.
• Documentation & Compliance: Maintains accurate, consistent patient records meeting regulatory standards and adheres to hospital policies, attendance, and safety guidelines.
