Job summary

Mercy Hospital - Oklahoma City (W Memorial Rd) is seeking a part-time registered nurse for the operating room. You will apply the nursing process to deliver safe, high-quality patient care across the shift pattern of 2 twelve-hour shifts per week.

We value interpersonal collaboration with staff and physicians, emphasize patient rights and confidentiality, and support ongoing learning. An RN license in the hiring state (or compact licensure) and BLS are required; OR experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN).
• Preferred experience: 1 year of critical-care or Operating Room experience.
• RN license in the hiring state or compact licensure; must meet state board of nursing requirements.
• Basic Life Support certification or completion within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care.
• Maintains professional accountability for patient care for the assigned patients.
• Coordinates the patient care in conjunction with other departments; maintains patient rights and confidentiality.
• Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.

Position Details:

Location: Mercy Hospital - Oklahoma City (W Memorial Rd)

Shift: Part Time (24 hours/week)

Schedule: 2 12-hour shifts/week

Overview

Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care. Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care for the assigned patients. Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers. Coordinates the patient care in conjunction with other departments. Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN).
• Preferred experience: 1 year of critical-care or Operating Room experience.
• Licensure: Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements.
• Certifications: Basic Life Support certification or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire.

Physical Requirements

• Position requires individuals to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis
• Position requires prolonged standing and walking each shift
• Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties
