Job summary

Mercy Hospital in Oklahoma City is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the operating room team. This part-time role offers 24 hours per week across two 12-hour shifts, with opportunities to grow in a dynamic, patient-centered environment.

You will provide nursing care using the nursing process, protect patient rights, and collaborate with physicians and staff to maintain high standards of safety and quality in the OR.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN).
• Preferred experience: 1 year of critical-care or Operating Room experience.
• Licensure: Must obtain and maintain a current RN license in the hiring state and/or compact licensure.
• Certifications: Basic Life Support certification or successful completion within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care using the nursing process.
• Maintain patient rights and confidentiality of information.
• Coordinate patient care with other departments.
• Evaluate the overall effectiveness of care provided by direct care givers.

Overview

Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care. Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care for the assigned patients. Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers. Coordinates the patient care in conjunction with other departments. Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN).
• Preferred experience: 1 year of critical-care or Operating Room experience.
• Licensure: Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements.
• Certifications: Basic Life Support certification or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire.

Physical Requirements

• Position requires individuals to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis
• Position requires prolonged standing and walking each shift
• Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties
