Job summary

Mercy Hospital – Oklahoma City invites you to join our operating room nursing team. This part-time RN role supports the patient care process in a dynamic, high‑reliability environment, with 2 shifts per week.

You will use the nursing process, maintain patient rights and confidentiality, and coordinate care with perioperative staff. RN license in state or compact required; 1 year OR or critical care preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN).
• Preferred 1 year of critical-care or Operating Room experience.
• Maintain RN license in the hiring state and/or compact licensure and meet state requirements.

Position Details:

Location: Mercy Hospital - Oklahoma City (W Memorial Rd)

Shift: Part Time (24 hours/week)

Schedule: 2 12-hour shifts/week

Overview

Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care. Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care for the assigned patients. Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers. Coordinates the patient care in conjunction with other departments. Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN).
• Preferred experience: 1 year of critical-care or Operating Room experience.
• Licensure: Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements.
• Certifications: Basic Life Support certification or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire.

Physical Requirements

• Position requires individuals to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis
• Position requires prolonged standing and walking each shift
• Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties
