Job summary

Mercy Hospital - Oklahoma City is seeking an experienced OR nurse for a part-time role (24 hours/week) with two 12-hour shifts. You will provide patient care using the nursing process, maintain accountability for care of assigned patients, and coordinate with other departments to ensure safety and quality.

Qualified candidates have an RN credential (ADN/ Diploma/ BSN) and current Oklahoma or compact state license; BLS certification or readiness to obtain within 30 days is required.

Qualifications

• Education: ADN/Diploma/BSN from an approved nursing school.
• Preferred: 1 year of critical-care or OR experience.
• Licensure: current RN license in Oklahoma or compact state.
• Certifications: BLS certification or 30 days to obtain.

Location: Mercy Hospital - Oklahoma City (W Memorial Rd)

Shift: Part Time (24 hours/week)

Schedule: 2 12-hour shifts/week

Overview

Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care. Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care for the assigned patients. Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers. Coordinates the patient care in conjunction with other departments. Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN).
• Preferred experience: 1 year of critical-care or Operating Room experience.
• Licensure: Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements.
• Certifications: Basic Life Support certification or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire.

Physical Requirements

• Position requires individuals to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis
• Position requires prolonged standing and walking each shift
• Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties
