Mount Carmel Health System, part of Trinity Health, is seeking a Registered Nurse for Labor and Delivery in Grove City, OH. The RN will care for moms and newborns from labor through postpartum, using evidence-based nursing processes and collaborating with the care team.
The role requires Ohio RN licensure, BLS/CPR, and experience with EMR/charting. Responsibilities include patient assessment, procedures, medication administration, and education of patients and families.
Purpose: The Registered Nurse (RN), within the scope of the Ohio Nurse Practice Act, will provide care in an atmosphere sensitive to each person’s physical, emotional, social and spiritual needs. The Staff RN is accountable for the delivery of patient care utilizing the Nursing Process within the standards, policies, procedures and guidelines of Mount Carmel Health System.
The Mount Carmel Grove City Labor and Delivery/Mother Infant has 9 labor rooms, 4 triage rooms, 4 PACU bays on L&D and 18 private rooms on Mother Infant. On Labor and Delivery, you will care for new moms through the labor, delivery, and immediate post partum period, you will care for newborns in their first few hours of life, you will prep, circulate, and recover cesarean section patients, and in rare cases you may need to help support moms who experience pregnancy loss at different stages of their pregnancy. On Mother Infant, you will care for new moms and babies after they recover on labor and delivery. You will help moms bond, breastfeed, and care for themselves and their newborns, you will do patient teaching, and will discharge moms and babies home once they are deemed ready.
