BayCare is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the Hemodialysis department at Winter Haven Hospital. The role involves direct patient care in a hospital setting, using established nursing processes to support dialysis patients and collaborating with the care team to maintain high-quality outcomes.

Since the position is full-time and in person, duties include vital monitoring, emergency response, and discharge planning. Requirements include an active RN license and BLS/ACLS certifications.

Formación

• RN license required.
• 1 year RN experience in Hemodialysis in an Acute Care setting.
• Preferred Education: Bachelor's in Nursing.

Responsabilidades

• Care for dialysis patients in hospital setting using nursing process and clinical standards.
• Delegate appropriate patient care activities to health care team members.
• Monitor vitals, document assessments, and respond to emergencies as needed.
• Coordinate discharge planning and referrals to ensure continuity of care.

• Location: Winter Haven Hospital – Winter Haven, Florida
• Status: Full Time
• Shift: 9:00 AM - 9:30 PM
• Every other weekend requirement
• On Call: Yes
• Always in person

Requirements:

• RN (Registered Nurse) License
• Diploma, Associate’s, Bachelor's or Higher in Nursing
• Preferred Education: Bachelor's in Nursing
• 1-years' RN experience in the Hemodialysis in an Acute Care setting
• BLS certification with the American Red Cross or American Heart Association
• ACLS certification with the American Heart Association

The Registered Nurse – Hemodialysis responsibilities and skills:

• Works in a hospital setting and independently cares for a group of Dialysis patients consistently using the nursing process and clinical standards
• Delegates appropriate patient care activities to other members of the health care team
• Care for patient needs throughout their recovery in critical care
• Monitor, record, and update care team on patient vitals and assessments.
• Identifying sudden or subtle changes in a patient’s medical condition
• Responding to medical emergencies for critical patients
• Coordinates and documents appropriate discharge planning and referrals to ensure continuity of care after discharge
• High emotional intelligence to create a positive patient care experience that includes simplifying medical terminology and concepts to the patient
• Professional accountability and development
