About This Role

The RN Registered Nurse in the GI Lab at Allegheny General Hospital provides nursing care to patients undergoing endoscopic procedures, collaborating with patients and physicians to ensure quality care.

Highlights

• Location: Pittsburgh, PA
• Facility: Allegheny General Hospital
• Schedule: Full-time, Day shift (80 hours every two weeks, Mon-Fri, Rotating weekends and holidays)

• Provide proper documentation in accordance with hospital and regulatory standards.
• Maintain a safe environment for patients from assessment through recovery.

Requirements

Education:

• Current State of PA RN licensure or current multi-state licensure through the enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC).
• CPR certification required.

Experience:

• 1 year nursing experience or previous GI experience required if less than one year nursing.
• Preferred 1 year critical care experience.
• Minimum 2 years endoscopy experience.

Licenses & Certifications:

• Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate.
• Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate.
• Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate.
