Job summary

Allegheny Health Network’s Allegheny General Hospital is hiring a registered nurse to provide patient care during GI endoscopic procedures in the GI Lab. You will collaborate with physicians and patients to deliver safe, compassionate care.

Responsibilities include pre-procedural assessment, assisting during GI procedures, accurate documentation, and maintaining a safe recovery environment. Evening/weekday coverage with rotating holidays may apply.

Qualifications

• Active PA RN licensure (or multi-state licensure via eNLC).
• Current CPR certification.
• 1 year nursing experience or GI experience required if less than one year nursing.

Responsibilities

• Conducts pre-procedural assessment and data collection.
• Participates in the care of patients undergoing GI procedures.
• Provides proper documentation in accordance with hospital and regulatory standards.
• Maintains a safe environment for patients from assessment through recovery.
