Ideal Candidate Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved nursing school (Associates or Bachelor's degree)
• Prior experience in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting (preferred)
• Experience with SigmaCare (preferred)
• Ability to assess resident needs and make sound clinical decisions
• Ability to prioritize and coordinate nursing activities

Minimum Requirements

• Active RN license for New York State
• CPR certification

Position Responsibilities

• Serve as nursing leader and educator on the unit, overseeing care from admission to discharge
• Coordinate with medical team and create comprehensive care plans
• Monitor resident conditions and respond promptly to changes or emergencies
• Educate nursing staff on clinical competencies such as wound care, medication administration, and device care
• Perform tasks like IV insertion, care for PICC lines, and review assessments
