Job summary

Firelands Regional Medical Center in Bellevue, OH is seeking a full-time RN for the ER shift 7a-7p. You will perform nursing assessments, implement physician orders, educate patients and families, and respond to emergencies with a focus on high-quality care.

Requires an Ohio RN license and CPR. Candidate should have 1 year of ER experience preferred and maintain PALS/ACLS/TNCC and Basic EKG qualifications within 6 months of hire.

Qualifications

• Must have a current Ohio RN license and CPR prior to patient care experience.
• Prefer at least 1 year of ER experience.
• Current PALS, ACLS, Basic EKG, and TNCC required or obtained within 6 months of hire and remain current.
• Excellent organizational, customer service skills, and computer proficiency are a must.

Responsibilities

• Implements the nursing process with patients including carrying out physicians orders regarding diet, medication and treatment in accordance with Firelands standards of care.
• Performs assessments; monitors and ensures quality care through observation and evaluation; documents nursing interventions on care plans, medical records, and reports findings to physicians as needed.
• Instructs patients, staff, and family members regarding treatments, nursing plans and related patient care directed towards a safe discharge.
• Responds to emergencies; maintains availability of medications and supplies; ensures cleanliness of equipment and environment.
• Demonstrate service excellence and acts as an ambassador and advocate for FRMC.
