Job summary

Firelands Health in Sandusky, OH is seeking dedicated RNs to join our team. This role offers a $5,000 retention bonus, a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:2 with some 1:1 coverage, and a work/life balance that includes alternating every 3rd weekend to support personal life while building a career.

Qualifications

• Must have a current Ohio RN license and CPR prior to patient care.
• ACLS, Basic EKG, and ECCO required or obtained within 6 months of hire.
• CCRN and TNCC certification is preferred within 2 years in area of expertise.
• Excellent organizational, customer service skills, and computer proficiency are a must.
• Prefer at least 1 year of experience.

Responsibilities

• Implements the nursing process with patients including carrying out physicians orders regarding diet, medication and treatment in accordance with Firelands standards of care.
• Performs assessments; monitors and ensures quality care through observation and evaluation; documents nursing interventions on care plans, medical records, and reports findings to physicians as needed.
• Instructs patients, staff, and family members regarding treatments, nursing plans and related patient care directed towards a safe discharge.
• Responds to emergencies; maintains availability of medications and supplies; ensures cleanliness of equipment and environment.
• Demonstrate service excellence and acts as an ambassador and advocate for FRMC.
