Job summary

UAB Medicine is seeking a qualified registered nurse for the Cath Lab at UAB St. Vincent's. Provide direct nursing care, implement patient care plans, and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe, effective patient outcomes.

The role requires BLS within 30 days, RN licensure by the Alabama Board, and a nursing diploma. Work location is on-site with generous benefits for eligible positions.

Qualifications

• BLS certification within 30 days of hire.
• Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed by the Alabama Board of Nursing.
• Diploma from an accredited nursing program, with licensure at time of hire.

Responsibilities

• Schedules Available:
  • Full time, day shift - 4'10's - call 1 night per week and one weekend per month
  • PRN, day shift
• Work Location: UAB St Vincent's

What You Will Do

Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization.

• Implement and monitor patient care plans. Monitor, record and communicate patient condition as appropriate.
• Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
• Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
• Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.

What You Will Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Licensed Associate Professional Registered Nurse credentialed from the Alabama Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

Education:

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing and professional licensure at time of hire required.
