Job summary

UAB Medicine at UAB St. Vincent's in Alabama is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide direct nursing care in the Cath Lab, following established policies and protocols. You will implement and monitor patient care plans and coordinate care with specialists to ensure well-coordinated patient care.

The role requires a Diploma in Nursing and RN licensure by the Alabama Board of Nursing, plus BLS; position is full-time day shift, on-site at UAB St. Vincent's.

Qualifications

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing and professional licensure required.
• Licensed Associate Professional Registered Nurse credential from Alabama Board of Nursing required before hire.

• Implement and monitor patient care plans. Monitor, record and communicate patient condition as appropriate.
• Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
• Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
• Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.

  • Full time, day shift - 4'10's - call 1 night per week and one weekend per month
  • PRN, day shift
• Work Location: UAB St Vincent's

What You Will Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Licensed Associate Professional Registered Nurse credentialed from the Alabama Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

Education:

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing and professional licensure at time of hire required.
