Job summary

Penn State Health Lancaster Medical Center is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician to prepare, sterilize, install or clean laboratory and healthcare equipment. The role involves training and mentoring staff, prioritizing assignments, and adjusting workflows to meet pressing deadlines.

The successful candidate will have five years of sterile processing experience and CBSPD/CRCST certification, with High School diploma required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Five (5) years of experience working in sterile processing as a certified registered central technician (CBSPD OR CRST).
• Sterile Processing Technician Certification CBSPD/CRCST

SUMMARY OF POSITION

Prepare, sterilize, install or clean laboratory or healthcare equipment. May perform routine laboratory tasks and operate or inspect equipment. Will act as first point of escalation for staff members when supervisor is not immediately available. Individual will play integral role in training and mentoring new and existing employees and will assist in prioritizing assignments and adjusting workflows to ensure most pressing needs are met within deadlines.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S)

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Must have five (5) years of experience working in sterile processing as a certified registered central technician (CBSPD OR CRST)
• Sterile Processing Technician Certification CBSPD/CRCST
