Job summary

BayCare Health System is seeking an Ambulatory PreOp/PACU Registered Nurse for a part-time role at the Tampa Bay area facilities. The RN will independently care for a sub-specialty patient group using established nursing processes and clinical standards, while supporting the health care team.

Preferred candidates have 1 year of experience in Critical Care, Endoscopy, PreOp or PACU. This position requires in-person work and offers a comprehensive benefits package as part of BayCare’s total

Qualifications

• RN license and Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
• Strong interpersonal skills and patient-centered care.
• Experience in Ambulatory PreOp/PACU settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care for a sub-specialty group in PreOp/PACU.
• Delegate nursing tasks to team members per clinical standards.
• Serve as preceptor and charge nurse when assigned.

Position Details

• Location: BayCare Trinity Surgery Center, 2020 Trinity Oaks Blvd, New Port Richey, FL 34655
• Status: Part-Time, 40 hrs per pay period
• Shift: Variable
• Always in person

Summary

The Ambulatory PreOp/PACU RN responsibilities include:

• RN independently cares for a sub-specialty group of patients consistently using the nursing process and clinical standards
• RN delegates appropriate patient care activities to other members of the health care team
• RN is responsible for professional accountability and development according to best practice standards set forth by a nationally recognized specialty organization
• RN is also performs the role of preceptor and charge nurse when assigned

For this position, we strongly prefer at least 1 year RN experience in Critical Care, Endoscopy, or PreOp and PACU areas. PACU experience is strongly preferred for this role. This is a Part-Time position set to work 40 hours per bi-weekly pay period.
