Job summary

Mount Vernon Health Care Center is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team and deliver high-quality care to residents. The ideal candidate will be patient, empathetic, and collaborative with residents and staff.

The RN will conduct assessments, manage admissions and discharges, provide wound care, and lead CNAs/CMTs while adhering to facility protocols and policies. Telemedicine and Mayo Clinic program resources may be available to support care delivery.

Qualifications

• RN licensure or current RN registration is required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct assessments, follow protocol, report medical or behavioral changes, and document findings.
• Perform admission duties: complete assessment, MAR, TAR, POS, review chart setup, physician orders, and order medications.
• Manage discharges: complete documentation, notify physician and guardian, and arrange transportation.
• Provide wound care: follow protocols, irrigate, pack, and remove dressings.
• Lead CNAs and CMTs, ensuring compliance with facility protocols and policies.
• Respond effectively to emergency situations.
