Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Fairview Hospital in Cleveland, OH is seeking an RN for the Rapid Observation Unit to provide direct nursing care in a fast-paced setting. You will implement and revise patient care plans, monitor patient conditions, and administer medications while coordinating discharge needs and educating patients and families.

The role requires graduation from an accredited nursing program; BSN is preferred, with current RN licensure and BLS certification.

About This Role

As an RN in the Rapid Observation Unit at Cleveland Clinic Fairview Hospital, you will provide exceptional care to patients in a fast-paced environment, focusing on their needs throughout the patient care journey.

Highlights

• Pay: $35.50 - $55.60/hour
• Location: Cleveland, OH
• Facility: Fairview Hospital
• Department/Unit: Clinical Decision Unit (CDU)
• Schedule: Part-time, Day shift

What You'll Do

• Provide direct nursing care.
• Implement, monitor, evaluate, update, and revise patient care plans.
• Monitor, record, document, and communicate patients’ conditions.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments.

• Assess and coordinate patients’ discharge needs.

Requirements

Education:

• Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing (Diploma, ADN or BSN program) required
• Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Experience:

• One year of current acute care RN experience OR licensed military RN experience required
• Clinical experience preferred

Licenses & Certifications:

• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross required
