Cleveland Clinic Akron General is seeking an RN for the Rapid Observation Unit in Akron, OH. You will provide direct nursing care, evaluate and respond to patient conditions, and participate in interdisciplinary care and quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing (Diploma, ADN, or BSN).
  • Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) is required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct nursing care.
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for a given patient population.
  • Complete ongoing assessments, recognize changes in patient condition, and respond appropriately.
  • Develop and update goals, involve patients and families in care, and serve as a patient advocate.
  • Provide nursing care, administer treatments and medication, and document.
  • Participate in ongoing interdisciplinary evaluation of patient/family outcomes.
  • Contribute to the improvement of care and participate in the quality improvement process.
  • Delegate tasks and serve as a resource person.
  • Pursue ongoing education and specialty certifications.
  • Maintain applicable certification/licensure and obtain any required certifications specific to the unit.

  • Schedule: Full-time, Night shift (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM, including every other weekend and 3 holidays per year)
What You'll Do

Requirements
Education:

Experience:
  • Cardiac and/or Telemetry experience preferred
Licenses & Certifications:
  • Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred
