Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the Clinical Decision Unit in Plymouth, MA. The role involves coordinating short-stay care for patients with 8-48 hour length of stay, with telemetry and rapid assessment in a fast-paced environment.

The position offers a 32-hour workweek with evening shifts (11p-7:30a) on a rotating schedule and requires MA RN licensure, BLS, and preferred telemetry experience. Nursing education and professional development are encouraged.

Qualifications

• 12 months of recent Acute Care RN experience preferred.
• Current telemetry experience preferred.
• BSN preferred.
• AHA ACLS certification preferred.
• AHA BLS certification required.
• Evidence of continuing education.
• Charge Nurse experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, educate and document the nursing care of patients set forth by organizational policies and in accordance with the standards of professional nursing practice.
• Utilizes specialized knowledge, judgement, and nursing skills necessary to assess data and plan, as well as, provide and evaluate care appropriate to the patient to facilitate a safe discharge.
• Works collaboratively with other disciplines in care of patients.
• Participates in formal and informal educational programs to improve technical skills.
• Responsible for continued learning and application to practice.
• Responsible to provide patient and family education.
