Qualifications

• 12 months of recent Acute Care RN experience preferred.
• Current telemetry experience preferred.
• Evidence of continuing education.
• Utilizes appropriate time management skills and communicates effectively.
• Documented Professional Development activities
• Knowledge of Critical Paths
• Charge Nurse experience preferred
• BSN preferred
• AHA ACLS certification preferred
• AHA BLS certification required

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, educate and document the nursing care of patients per organizational policies and professional nursing standards.
• Utilize specialized knowledge and nursing skills to assess data, plan, provide and evaluate care for discharge safety.
• Collaborate with other disciplines in patient care.
• Participate in educational programs to improve technical skills.
• Pursue continued learning and apply to practice.
• Provide patient and family education.
