Job summary

Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital Plymouth is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Clinical Decision Unit on a full-time schedule (36 hpw), 7:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m., with rotating weekends and holidays.

The unit handles short-term, hospital-based services with 8–48 hour stays, telemetry, and rapid assessment to determine discharge or inpatient admission. You will assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care, document thoroughly, and educate patients and families.

Qualifications

• 12 months of recent Acute Care RN experience preferred.
• Current telemetry experience preferred.
• AHA BLS certification required. BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, educate and document the nursing care of patients.
• Utilizes knowledge and nursing skills to assess data, plan and provide care to facilitate safe discharge or appropriate admission.
• Works collaboratively with other disciplines in patient care.
• Participates in formal and informal educational programs to improve technical skills.
• Responsible to provide patient and family education.
