Job summary

Northside Hospital in Georgia seeks a Registered Professional Nurse to independently plan and provide professional care per physician orders and guidelines, within the Georgia Nurse Practice Act.

Requirements include GA RN license, ACLS within 1 year, and a minimum of two years RN experience post-orientation; preferred: cardiac/critical care, ER, ICU or Radiology experience. 10-hour shifts Mon-Fri, no weekend or on-call.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Licensed as a RN in Georgia in good standing.
• Minimum of two years of full-time RN experience post-orientation.
• ACLS certification within 1 year of employment.
• Preferred: 2 years in cardiac/critical care, ER, ICU or Radiology.
• Procedural/Ed transfer: ED, OR, PACU and IV skills.

Responsibilities

• Independently plans and provides professional nursing care per physician orders and guidelines.
• Complies with the Georgia Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies.
• Utilizes strong IV insertion skills and participates in ED/ICU procedures as needed.
• Work hours: 10-hour shifts (7:30a-6:30p), Mon-Fri, with self scheduling.

Responsibilities

The Registered Professional Nurse at Northside Hospital independently plans and provides professional nursing care to patients in accordance with physician orders and established guidelines, and in accordance with the scope of practice as defined by the Georgia Nurse Practice Act.

Qualifications

REQUIRED:

Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing and licensed as a RN in the State of Georgia in good standing without limitations.

Minimum of two (2) years of full-time experience as a RN post-orientation or post-residency training.

Certified in American Heart Association’s Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within 1 year of employment.

PREFERRED:

Minimum of two (2) years’ experience involving the treatment of cardiac/critical care patients, ER, ICU and/or Radiology (IR) experience highly preferred.

Procedural and/or Emergency Department experience (including pre-op, OR, PACU, Interventional Pain, Endovascular, Interventional Radiology, Endoscopy, and strong IV insertion skills) is easily transferable.

Work Hours:

10-hour shifts between 730a-630p (Mon-Fri) self scheduling
