Job summary

Northside Hospital is seeking a Registered Professional Nurse to provide high-quality nursing care in accordance with physician orders and Georgia laws. The role emphasizes independent planning and delivery of patient care within established guidelines.

Required: GA RN license, ACLS within 1 year of employment, and at least two years of full-time RN experience post-orientation. Work hours include 2,10-hour shifts weekly, M-F with on-call duties.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing and licensed as an RN in the State of Georgia in good standing without limitations.
• Minimum of two (2) years of full-time experience as a RN post-orientation or post-residency training.
• Certified in American Heart Association’s Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within 1 year of employment.

Responsibilities

• Plan and provide professional nursing care to patients per physician orders and established guidelines.
• Operate within the scope of practice defined by the Georgia Nurse Practice Act.
• Coordinate patient care with the healthcare team and monitor patient status.
• Document care and maintain patient records accurately.
• Respond promptly to changes in patient condition and communicate with physicians.

Responsibilities

The Registered Professional Nurse at Northside Hospital independently plans and provides professional nursing care to patients in accordance with physician orders and established guidelines, and in accordance with the scope of practice as defined by the Georgia Nurse Practice Act.

Qualifications

REQUIRED:

• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing and licensed as a RN in the State of Georgia in good standing without limitations.
• Minimum of two (2) years of full-time experience as a RN post-orientation or post-residency training.
• Certified in American Heart Association’s Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within 1 year of employment.

PREFERRED:

• Minimum of two (2) years’ experience involving the treatment of cardiac/critical care patients, ER, ICU and/or Radiology (IR) experience highly preferred.
• Procedural and/or Emergency Department experience (including pre-op, OR, PACU, Interventional Pain, Endovascular, Interventional Radiology, Endoscopy, and strong IV insertion skills) is easily transferable.

Work Hours:

2,10-hr shifts/week, M-F: 630a or 8a start time, on call 2 shifts/month
