Duke University Health System is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Pulmonary & Specialty Clinic in Durham, NC. This on-site role focuses on pulmonary procedures in a procedural unit and collaborates with pain medicine, gastroenterology, and podiatry services.

4-10 hour shifts, Mon-Fri, with no nights or weekends; some on-call may be required. A BSN or higher is required, with 12 months of clinical experience, and an active NC or compact license (license within 90 days if new to NC).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN or higher) required.
• Twelve months of appropriate clinical experience required.
• Active RN license (NC or compact) required; license within 90 days if relocating to NC.
• BLS certification required.

Responsabilités

• Plan, provide, supervise and document professional nursing care utilizing the nursing process.
• Delegate tasks and supervise the activities of other licensed and unlicensed care providers.
• Act as team leader or charge nurse for a group of patients or an entire unit as assigned.
• Monitor and initiate corrective action to maintain the environment of care including equipment and material resources.
• Participate in own professional development by maintaining required competencies and seeking appropriate educational offerings.
• Act as preceptor and support the development of other staff and formal learners.
• Participate in clinical or operational performance improvement activities.
• Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.
