Job summary

Arbor Springs is a Montessori-inspired senior living community in Des Moines, IA, seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to provide direct nursing care and supervise certified nursing assistants under RN and Director of Nursing guidance.

Candidates should be licensed as an LPN, 18+, fluent in English, with knowledge of long-term care regulations; previous nursing experience is desirable; join a compassionate team committed to dignity, respect, and quality of life.

Qualifications

• Must be a Licensed Practical Nurse in good standing and currently licensed by the State.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must read and write clearly and legibly.
• Must speak and understand English.
• Previous experience in a nursing capacity desirable.
• Knowledge of nursing practices, procedures, and long-term care regulations desirable.
• Positive attitude toward the elderly.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to residents as assigned.
• Supervise day-to-day nursing activities of Certified Nursing Assistants as directed by the RN and DON.
• Ensure quality care in a safe, therapeutic environment in compliance with standards.

General Purpose

To provide direct nursing care to the residents and to supervise the day-to-day nursing activities of Certified Nursing Assistants in accordance with federal, state and local standards governing the facility, and as may be directed by the RN, Director of Nursing Services and Administration, to ensure that the highest degree of quality care is always maintained.

Qualifications
