Job summary

Havenwyck Hospital, a UHS facility in Auburn Hills, MI, seeks a Registered Nurse to deliver compassionate psychiatric care for children, adolescents and adults. You will assess needs, diagnose, plan and evaluate care, and monitor medications while ensuring patient safety and a safe milieu.

You will collaborate with the treatment team to update the Individualized Treatment Plan, set measurable goals, and adapt plans based on patient response, ensuring effective crisis intervention when needed.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of Nursing. Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred.
• Current status as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Michigan required.
• One year of nursing experience in a psychiatric setting preferred.
• Current certification in Non-violent Crisis Intervention preferred.
• Current certification in BLS/CPR preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides nursing care for psychiatric patients using the nursing process.
• Monitors effects and side effects of medications and treatments.
• Ensures safety and provides milieu management and crisis intervention strategies.
• Participates in development and interpretation of department policies and procedures.
